In early days Honda had declined that they had any plans of releasing a hybrid edition of the Honda Fit; but, that was way back in 2005. Now, Honda is all set to unveil the new 2010 Honda Fit hybrid.
Even the earlier versions of fit were capable of producing excellent results in terms of fuel economy. The regular Honda Fit models achieved 27 mpg in city, and 34 mpg on highways. But, despite the remarkable improvement in gas mileage, Honda decided to launch the hybrid version, keeping the potential of hybrid car and rise in the oil prices, into consideration.
The vehicle with hybrid version can accommodate five persons, and it’s a 5 door vehicle. The 2010 Honda Fit Hybrid is comparable to FCX Clarity fuel cell vehicle in terms of exterior design. Clarity has wedge shaped body, though it is a bit different from the Fit’s styling cues. The sale of the hybrid version of Fit will commence in July in U.S market.
Quite clearly, the 2010 Honda fit hybrid is going to be environment friendly, and fairly user friendly too; it will facilitate smoother driving with new technologies, and safeguard the passengers really well.
Back seat is designed in such way that it opposes shock. Interior is loaded with hi-fi gadgetry, and all kind of accessories along with the dash board. The height of the new Fit is greater than its predecessors, but the bad news is that there is no Bluetooth facility!
2010 Honda Fit Hybrid has a high quality interior as opposed to most of its competitors. The net price for its basic model is however expected to be higher when compared with its rivals; but the other factors such as interior looks, and the sheer fact that the vehicle delivers better results in gas mileage, are bound to make the new 2010 Honda Fit Hybrid a hot favorite in the market.
